Shoulder Stand in Lotus

Follow along or just watch this advanced demonstration of the shoulder stand in lotus posture. The shoulder stand in lotus position is the favored final position for the legs because prana, or life force, is not lost through the feet. Before you try it, you need to be sure to have a very comfortable seated lotus posture so that you don’t hurt your knees. It is also possible to use one of your hands to get the feet into position. Cobra to King Cobra Sequence

This short sequence begins with the cobra variation with hands lifted off the floor – a good version to isolate the muscles of the back which are used in a proper cobra posture. Peacock for Men

This video demonstrated the classical yoga peacock posture, mayurasana, and it also demonstrates a couple of warm-up stretches that you can do for the wrists before you start. The peacock has many benefits, including building strength in the wrists, arms, shoulders and back, and it also increases the digestive fire. Cobra to King Cobra Sequence Bhujangasana

This cobra sequence comes up to the cobra 3 times – first the traditional cobra (bhujangasana), then the cobra with the hands lifted off the floor to build back strength, and finally the king cobra. With this sequence of 3 cobras, you can learn what it feels like to use only the back muscles, and how to then begin working on the king cobra, where the feet touch the head.
